The Cryptid in Question…
Dominique Sconion is a Maryland-based illustrator
who can’t think of a time where she wasn’t constantly
building stories in her own head.
Her typical work features lovable characters set against colorful backgrounds and if there isn’t a magic system in place, there’s always something mystical in the air. Witches, vampires, ghosts and other compelling creatures are where her heart resides. Bonus points if it’s a queer and/or BIPOC+ story!
Currently, she is working on Dear Wretched Weakness,
a sweet sapphic romantic comedy webcomic set to begin release in 2025.
She is in her final year of her 2D Animation program at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with a specialization in Character Design and will be graduating in December 2024.
